Lifespan

If he was the skald of both Magnus Barefoot (d. 1103) and Jon Jarl (b. 1201), he must have lived to a very old age... Sigo 17:16, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There were at least two Jon Jarl, and they may have been confused.--Berig 18:02, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Jón Sörkvisson mentioned in Skáldatal must be Sörkvir Kolsson's son, not Sörkvir Karlsson's. Sigo 21:19, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree.--Berig 21:53, 11 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Continuity error

Magnus Barefoot died roughly 30 years before Sigurd the Crusader, ie when Sigurd was about 10 years old. This article most likely means Magnus the Blind, who was Sigurd's son and successor, rather Magnus Barefoot who was his infamous father. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ebraekke (talkcontribs) 11:23, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
