History?

For a twelve thousand year old forest, it looks pretty ordinary in all the pictures. The trees look to me to be no more than 100 years old. It would be useful if someone who knows could provide some history, including details about logging activities, original area, area remaining in our time, and photos of any notable tree specimens with ages of perhaps 500 years or more.

Absent such detail, this article is just a political polemic about an ephemeral current affair. The forest will either be leveled or it won't. It's hard to take resistance to leveling seriously in the absence of any credible evidence that the forest is in fact significant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.68.24.153 (talk) 03:45, 20 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A twelve thousand year old forest means that its development began after the end of the last ice age. Most of your questions can be answered by reading the article and looking at the map. The remaining area is less than 200 ha big. There are still dozens of trees which are more than 300 years old. There are not so many pictures under the CC SA license available because a high percentage of the occupants are anti capitalists. But you can find many pictures on picture and video portals.

If you want to question the significance than you should consider that there are large scale police actions which cost more than 10 Mio. Euros (probably more). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ham Beetle (talkcontribs) 17:03, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
