As Jake Goldberg

His role as Jake on the TV series The Goldbergs (1949-1953, and no relation to the current series), succeeding the blacklisted Philip Loeb and preceding Robert J. Harris, should be mentioned along with his other TV roles. 76.199.2.139 (talk) 16:11, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I found a reference for his role in The Goldbergs and added that (and several other roles as a regular on TV) to the article. I don't know why so many of his roles as a regular had been omitted, while the article went into detail about single appearances on many programs. First wife's name

I have changed the infobox and text to show Jean as his first wife's name. That is consistent with the cited Los Angeles Times obituary, which says, "In 1960, his first wife, Jean, died, ..." An editor had changed the name, with the edit summary saying "Corrected longtime wife's name to agree with her FindaGrave info." Unfortunately, Find a Grave is a user-generated site that "is generally unacceptable". (See

WP:USERGENERATED.) If a reliable source can be found to support a different name, then that should be noted by adding a citation to the text. Eddie Blick (talk) 00:57, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply

Popular oldies TV character actors

Tho not as famous as Leslie Nielsen, similarly distinguished looking Harold J. Stone was certainly among the most active, from the '50s thru '70s appearing in many different TV shows. I remember him most from Hogans Heroes. Enjoyed watching him as an FAA inspector in the original Twilight Zone's "The Landing" 2601:248:8300:CA70:BCEF:34A6:6EE6:2215 (talk) 19:49, 18 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
