Isn't it supposed to be "J.P." (no space), rather than "J. P."? Qwerasdfzxcv1234 (talk) 06:02, 21 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've thought that myself on occasion but it seems to be standard on Wikipedia (see J. A. Happ, A. J. Burnett, J. J. Hardy, C. J. Wilson etc etc). I guess the space would take into account that in most cases the initials represent two full names, and for example in the case of Happ, his name is James Anthony, not JamesAnthony. That's interesting. Sites like MLB.com list those players, including Arencibia, without a space. Pretty much every newspaper article I've ever read does the same. Oh well. Since it seems to be the standard on Wikipedia, I suppose it should be left as "J. P." for now. Qwerasdfzxcv1234 (talk) 01:26, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
