The result of the move request was: disambiguated at basename. There is not a clear consensus that Jeff Chan (basketball), but there is a clear consensus that the saxophonist is not the primary topic. A new RM could be opened to determine whether the basketball player is the primary topic. (closed by non-admin page mover) Elli (talk | contribs) 22:22, 5 October 2022 (UTC)

- When I see the name Jeff Chan, I tend to think of Jeff Chan (film director). Perhaps the best thing to do would be to make Jeff Chan point to a new Jeff Chan (disambiguation) page, and link Jeff Chan (saxophonist), Jeff Chan (basketball), Jeff Chan (film director), and any other Jeff Chans (and Jeffrey/Jefferson Chans) that may be out there. Grutness...wha? 12:52, 19 September 2022 (UTC)

- Support the baseball player has 3,818 views, Jeffery Paul Chan has 198 compared with only 169[[1]] for this one. Perhaps use Jeff Chan (saxophonist) and have the base name as a DAB. Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:03, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- Dab at base name, support (saxophonist) or any other reasonable disambiguator. Film director article was created less than a month ago. Open to deciding if basketball player is primary in at least a couple months' time, when we have more data. - We have stats as old as the stats itself. What else are we looking for? Howard the Duck (talk) 13:40, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Closer can decide how useful pageview stats less than a month old, DuckDuckGo, and Google query results are for determining long-term significance. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 18:13, 3 October 2022 (UTC)
- Yeah, if any of the Jeff Chans are truly primary topic material, they should have massive page views regardless of article age. Page views from the start once we had these stats is clear. Howard the Duck (talk) 15:23, 4 October 2022 (UTC)
