Korean population is much higher then Manchu's. If you combine Korean-chinese/ Chosunjok and North Korean refugees it would be about 3 million. Plus North Korean population 23 million be about 25-30 million Koreans living in Jilin area itself.

One thing I can't find in this article is, why was the heavy industry built in the north-east in the first place... natural resources? Politics? No one has ever complimented the northeast as a nice place to live or anything. --210.22.159.34 (talk) 02:36, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To whomever may have knowledge or first hand experience, how many airports that support regular commercial airline flights are there in Jilin province? It seems from available material on Wikipedia that at least Changchun, Jilin, Tonghua, and Yanbian have full service airports as of 2014. Am I missing anything?
