Neutrality...

WP:BLPSPS). I've removed the violating material, this is close to being an attack page. The article is still way too negative and should be rewritten from a neutral point of view. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:32, 1 August 2019 (UTC)[reply

Current events

I've contributed only with factual information, citing world class news organizations with citation in line. While subjective, I strongly believe that a job 10 years ago at a lower title is less relevant than his current job that is quoted by a number of news organizations - so I've changed the order behind the statement "best known for" to include his position of current time that is widely reported. The source appears to only mentions Spanfeller in passing. I think it would be
recentism to mention this in the intro until reliable sources talk about Spanfeller particularly over just the actions of his employees. – Thjarkur (talk) 02:12, 2 November 2019 (UTC)[reply

Uh, yeah, about that. This has been front page material on the New York Times citing Spanfeller and Paul Maidment. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/29/business/media/deadspin-editor-fired.html?module=inline https://www.nytimes.com/2019/10/31/business/media/deadspin-was-a-good-website.html?module=inline. Direct quote from NYT article: "G/O Media installed Jim Spanfeller, a digital media executive who had previously run Forbes.com, as its head. Mr. Spanfeller promptly got rid of some top editors and made Mr. Maidment the editorial director." Also: "Mr. Petchesky, the interim editor in chief, was pulled out of a meeting and escorted to the office of Mr. Spanfeller, the chief executive. There, he was fired. Mr. Petchesky said Mr. Spanfeller ordered him to leave using an obscenity. (Through a spokesman, Mr. Spanfeller declined to comment.)" Rootwyrm (talk) 19:57, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Change "multiple staff" to "all writers and editors"

Here's a source: https://www.npr.org/2019/11/01/775548069/after-days-of-resignations-the-last-of-the-deadspin-staff-have-quit

The current version makes it sound like a small dispute instead of the entirety of a labor force walking off the job. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:603:4E80:9550:E4E1:C64:C512:C2AE (talk) 19:15, 4 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
