More copy editing questions

I have made a few changes, but there are others where my (lack of) understanding may not improve the article.

  • "consulted the synod of German dioceses" - not impossible, but it probably means "was a consultant to..."; not sure if it is "the synod of the German dioceses", or "a synod of [some] German dioceses" (and German might be redundant anyway)
  • "...German theologians after the Second Vatican Council" - "after" does not seem right to me - but it is "temporally after", or "following", or "in response to", or something else?
  • "Six months before the end of the war" - so that would be 1944 too ;-) - and more seriously, I assume it means 6 months before the end of the war in Europe
  • "he had a scholarship of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft" - "had" might be "was granted a scholarship by", or if "had" is unchanged, then "from" seems a better preposition than "of"
  • "Theology after Auschwitz" - I assume that this is a term of art, which I would put in quotation marks, but it may be that Theology should just have a lower case initial letter
  • "category" used twice in the section on Theology may be a technical term, but looks wrong to me - does it mean "approach" or "method"?

Thank you, - theology is not my regular topic ;) - "Consultant" taken. "after" the Vatican Council is meant temporally, - better word? - The "six months" thing was in the article. - "granted" taken - "Ausschwitz" see - it's a term in German. Perhaps the English equvalent is Holocaust theology? - "category" - I found that whole section and didn't touch it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:59, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
