Questions concerning 2 possible discrepancies...
I want to alert the editors of this article to two "possible" discrepancies between this article and other articles (perhaps it's just not clear, in which case, perhaps clarification is in order):
1.) The infobox lists him as being the "military officer of california," preceded by
Military Governor of California
article lists Ide's title as "President of the California Republic." Not knowing much about California history, I can't comment on whether or not California was an independent country (a la Texas) during Ibe's "Presidency," however, it appears to me as though the two men had completely different titles.
2.) This article lists the cause of death of Sloat's father as "killed by a British soldier two months before he was born," which implies intentional murder. But according to the "Did you know..." on the wikipedia front page today, his death was an "accidental shooting death." My guess would be that it was an accidental shooting death by a British soldier, but I was hoping someone could clarify this
