• Oppose. It's a tough case, but I can hardly find any reference to him as "John Griffith Davies", so much that I even doubt it was his middle name – it's always either "John G. Davies" or "John Davies". This is the only short listing mentioning it. While I'm not a priori against using middle name as a disambiguator, it's so little known that it's about useless. To complicate matters further, there is a notable Australian agricultural scientist

• Oppose. We don't use middle names for disambiguation purposes unless they were commonly used to refer to the individual concerned. But rename to John Davies (judge), as that was his main career. @DrStrauss: as far as I can tell it's relisted correctly, but there seems to be an issue with the bot that updates the list. Some others are in the backlog which are also supposed to have been relisted. Ivanvector (^Talk/_Edits) 21:21, 19 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
