Treviño or Trevino?

I am the daughter of two Spanish teachers, and it was drilled into me from an early age to spell and pronounce Spanish names (and other Spanish words) correctly. Technically, Treviño is the correct spelling.

It may be that the subject of this article doesn't care how his name is pronounced, but that doesn't change what's technically correct.

Just sayin'. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.198.85.24 (talk) 01:16, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

There’s no ñ in his last name. Hence it is not pronounced with the Yo at the end. It is simply trevi-NO. Doesn’t matter what’s common it’s how it’s spelled and how you pronounce it 2600:1014:B141:566A:607C:3DE2:40F5:233D (talk) 21:35, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
