rank issue
The lead said that he commanded the 3 Commando Brigade "as a brigadier". I deleted this bit, since it seems superfluous (what does a brigadier command? can you guess in three tries). But now I have second thoughts - perhaps the standard rank for the commander of the unit would be colonel and thus J.T.'s command of it while brigadier was somehow exceptional? I assume not so I'm not going to revert my edit for now, but if somebody knows better I'd love a clarification. Bazuz (talk) 19:39, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
A quick look here shows that my first instinct was correct. Bazuz (talk) 19:41, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Proposed page move
As I'm about to create a page about another Julian Thompson, I propose to move this article to
Julian Thompson (soldier), leaving Julian Thompson as a disambiguation page. --Dweller (talk) 22:05, 18 April 2013 (UTC)
