Hosting comment removed

I removed the statement regarding Mr. Humphrey being hosted by his mother for 9 months prior to birth. The use of "hosting" in this context is not a widely accepted nor recognized description of human gestation. It adds nothing in this article that might help us to understand Mr. Humphrey and his life. Furthermore, in this context, it appears to be used either in support of his personal moral position on a controversial topic, or a soft mocking of him. Either way, it doesn't belong in this wikipedia article in that location. If it is an appropriate topic for inclusion in Mr. Humphrey's article it should be included in a section describing his legislative activities. Mstomasik (talk) 12:23, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Innocent Man

Justin, my name is Cathy Hodge and my stepson is Anthony Sanchez on death row. This man is innocent and there are several people trying to prove this. We have to stop this killing. Anthony is not guilty of this crime and there is so much proof. The court convicted him on a shoe print that was a size 9. Anthony wears an 11 1/2, this was never brought up in court. There was 42, I think fingerprints and a lot of hairs in victims car, none was Anthony’s.An eye witness drew a picture of man and said it was an older man. It looked nothing like Anthony and he had just turned 18 and had long hair down his back, the killer had shoulder length hair. They say they got a DNA match and test show it’s not a 100% match . Facts go on and on. How can they put a man on death row with all these facts showing this much evidence of innocence. Please help. Neutrality?

What's the deal with the neutrality template? The information there is notable and referenced. That's not non-neutral.

@TulsaPoliticsFan what's up with this? NorthTension (talk) 01:11, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The template is not about the content, it's about presentation. The controversies section needs to be worked into the Oklahoma House section (since it's all related to his career in the house).
Generally, a section just labeled "Controversies" is bad (especially on
biographies of living persons). TulsaPoliticsFan (talk) 02:16, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply

Is there anything in BLP that advises against controversies sections? I can understand how it can be bad if it's disproportionate or moved up to the top of an article or something but this didn't strike me as unfair

It doesn't say anything about controversies on the BLP page you linked, though NorthTension (talk) 02:30, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Criticism is the essay on it. TulsaPoliticsFan (talk) 02:43, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ah ok that makes sense.

@NorthTension, @Toobigtokale, are you both fine with the changes made? The controversies section is gone, but all the content remains TulsaPoliticsFan (talk) 02:26, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes
