This article was recently prodded for deletion one editor, deleted by an administrator, and then subsequently restored by the same administrator since someone challenge the prod at a later date. There's nothing wrong with any of that, but as it currenlty stands there is also nothing which clearly shows that Cherian meets

WP:NEXIST is in order here and more significant coverage in independent reliable sources can be found and added to the article; otherwise, I don't think this has much chance of survining an AfD. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:20, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply

Thank you for your analysis above, and the major cleanup you have done on the page in the last day that will help avoid a potential AfD in future. I was planning to do this cleanup myself and add references on this notable subject, as I had mentioned in my request to restore the deleted page to the administrator here in his talk page. You saved my time and effort and I appreciate you for that. I will try to enrich the references on this page. Thank you once again your admirable and true Wikipedian spirit! I see what you mean. If everything in the article is true he is notable, BUT... there is a WP:Verifiability problem. None of the sources cited are what we would normally consider Reliable Sources. They are primary sources, interviews, puff pieces about him. I will do some searching and see if I can confirm some of the details of his career. --MelanieN (talk) 19:17, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
In a Google search I found mostly primary/self-written material, much of it from his own Frontier Lifeline Hospital. I couldn’t even find where he went to medical school or did his internship/residency. This suggests he went to Kasturba Medical College, presumably
Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, and I will add that. Since it is published in the Times of India, we can probably accept its information (although in my experience the Times of India is sometimes guilty of reprinting material supplied by the subject). I also found a bio at Huffpost India but it was obviously just quoting from self-supplied material so it’s no help. The Padma Shri is well documented. I’m sorry, I really can’t do much to improve this article. --MelanieN (talk) 19:56, 8 March 2018 (UTC)[reply

@MelanieN: Thanks for trying to clean this up. I haven't had much luck finding more sources as well. Another problem is the occasional SPA who shows up adding more unsourced content and accidentally damaging the formatting. I'm not sure if its the same person or whether COI is an issue. -- Marchjuly (talk) 13:10, 13 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
