Uses of Lemon Leaves

Someone should mention that lemon leaves are edible, particularly when fried. Fried cheese with lemon leaves is a Southern-Italian dish.

Lemon

The lemon (Citrus × limon) is a species of small evergreen tree in the flowering plant family Rutaceae, native to Asia, primarily northeastern India (Assam), northern Myanmar, and China. The tree's ellipsoidal yellow fruit is used for culinary and non-culinary purposes throughout the world, primarily for its juice, which has both culinary and cleaning uses. The pulp and rind are also used in cooking and baking. The distinctive sour taste of lemon juice, derived from citric acid, makes it a key ingredient in drinks and foods. This photograph shows a whole and halved lemon against a black background.

The lack of information in the "lemons in culture" section requires immediate action. Lemons have become the ubiquitous symbol of sour, such as calling someone with a sour attitude a "lemon", comparing artificial flavours to lemons through marketing and using them to represent leaving a bad taste in someone's mouth through the simile of "like biting into a lemon." The cultural impact of the lemon is vital to the continued existence of society and it is important that you modify this article to embody this. 49.199.95.31 (talk) 05:51, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grammatical Error

Quote: 'The lemon (Citrus × limon) is a species of small evergreen tree'. It should clarify that it refers to the lemon tree, and not the lemon fruit. 2403:4800:35DE:5415:B175:C082:4786:F8C1 (talk) 03:54, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Link on 'Fruit'

Description: Quote "The lemon tree produces an ellipsoidal yellow fruit.". The link for fruit leads to the article 'Hesperidium' instead of the article 'Fruit'. This should be changed. 2403:4800:35DE:5415:15DA:4B44:DB55:EF6D (talk) 04:59, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. Hesperidium is a more specific article than fruit, and there is no requirement that wikilinks only go to articles that match the name exactly. CWenger (^@) 11:35, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
