A fact from Les Grandes Misères de la guerre appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 7 September 2009 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that Jacques Callot's series of etchings The Large Miseries of War were so called to distinguish them from a smaller set of Miseries? A record of the entry may be seen at Wikipedia:Recent additions/2009/September.

It says here that for the large series it was called "De Droeve Ellendighenden" is this correct? And wouldn't it be better calling the article "Les Misères de la guerre" since it addresses both the small and big engravings? There was also another thing, the big engravings are according to the link above engraved by Leon Schenk. Is this true?--

That is obviously a later Dutch edition. No and no (I imagine those are copies, of which there were many). Johnbod (talk)

Well it seems the title page is dutch however all the other pages scriptures are in French...--
