  A) The key only applies to congresspeople; B) There were no political parties in colonial New York.

Not particularly surprising. There seems to be some confusion and conflicting sources about more than one of the governors from that far in the past. Feel free to add more references and links to the article as well as notes explaining any conflicts. ) . According to the statesman website, Andros was governor from 10 Nov 1674 - 13 Jan 1681 and from 11 Aug -9 Oct 1688 ˜˜˜Ericl

The Same site, as well as the 1924 World Almanac list the two last colonial governors, so I put them in.
