Clarification of which legends predate the Quran
Particularly in example given of the valley of the ants, a direct comparison is made between the text of the Quran and of Beth ha-Midrasch by Adolf Jellinek (simply referred to as "Jellinek"). The text was written between 1853 and 1878, about 1200 years after the Quran. The article introduction states the Quran contains legends with similar motifs to Christian and Jewish legends which "may pre-date those in the Quran." The language should be made more clear, or the examples should contain more transparent indication of the timelines of the legends, particularly in relation to that of the Quran. 24.243.109.145 (talk) 20:41, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
