Germany

There doesn't seem to be a listing for Germany on this page ... or am I going blind and I've missed it. I understand there are several sites in Germany eg Wartburg Castle to name one. Sterry2607 (talk) 03:15, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There are a few that redirect to the main artcile, Germany redirects to List of World Heritage Sites in Western Europe. Until somebody writes a specific article it will stay like this. Murry1975 (talk) 11:52, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I created a dedicated one for Germany a while ago. :) List of World Heritage Sites in Germany -- Horst-schlaemma (talk) 08:42, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi everyone! I've recently got an idea to create a List of World Heritage old towns. There's quite a lot of them across the world, but no comprehensive list, category or summary so far. I think it'd be especially interesting for all the people who are mostly interested in harmonious intact old towns, in places showing different layers of time and the fabric of pre-modernist times. I'd be glad if you could step in and help - just contact me! :) Thanks and all the best Horst-schlaemma (talk) 08:52, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WHAT KIND OF LIST IS IT?

Where is Central Europe? Doesn't exist? Austria, Czech Republic (Prague and other 13 places on list), Slovenia? Pimlico27 (talk) 19:39, 22 July 2014 (UTC)?[reply]

I believe this and other WHS-lists use the United Nations geoscheme. So no Central Europes there... bamse (talk) 16:11, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Turkey and Europe

Turkey is not in Southern Europe. Please put it back in its place in Asia... Onoufrios d (talk) 22:20, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Edirne province is in East Thrace, which is in Europe. But the rest are in Asia. Turkey should probably be listed in both. --Khajidha (talk) 15:45, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Then Russia should also be both in Europe and Asia. The listing is not strictly based on geography. Turkey has never been included in Europe because also culturally it has no connection to it. If it's about geography how is Iceland part of Europe? Onoufrios d (talk) 13:25, 10 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I understand the WHS-lists on wikipedia follow the United Nations geoscheme which is what UNESCO uses. So indeed, Turkey is in Western Asia, , Iceleand is in Northern Europe and Russia is in Eastern Europe. bamse (talk) 16:15, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
