I have edited this page substantially, adding much new material and classifying the career of Manuel Marin. I have not been able to find many references to the material cited - not least because much of it took place before publication on the Internet was a standard; and because the personal web-page of the subject on the web-site of the Spanish Congress of Deputies does not exist. However, this seems a good start for more expert editors to add to.Raggio 21:02, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"at least some of the strength behind these attacks was fuelled by a desire on the part of Centre-Right Parties in the European Parliament to balance the charges then being made against Centre-Right Commission member Edith Cresson by attacks on a Socialist Commission member."

This is probably false, as Ms Cresson is a member of the socialist party in France, hardly Center-right. I will remove this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 158.169.9.14 (talk) 08:23, August 28, 2007 (UTC)
