I was quite surprised to see de:Wandermenagerie (Travelling menagerie), a very in-depth article and FA equivalent. I'm sure there would be scope to branch this off into a new article should anyone have the time. violet/riga _^[talk] 15:07, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am adding a reference to the 'travelling menageries' section on this page, but have had some concerns. I have not been able to find any sources that validate the statement that travelling menageries were introduced to the United Kingdom in the 1700s. From what I can gather from my research, travelling menageries maybe got more popular closer to the beginning of the 19th century.
