menominee marooon football is the oldest football team in the nation and shares the oldest rival with cross town team marinette.

Menominee has a monument marking the 45th parallel north, halfway between the North Pole and the Equator. This is one of six Michigan sites and 29 places in the U.S.A. where such signs are known to exist.^[1] This article needs a picture of that. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 19:36, 21 March 2009 (UTC) Stan[reply]

I am pretty sure this geographical marker is actually south of Peshtigo Wisconsin on Hwy 41 which is 10 - 12 miles from Menominee Michigan. I will try to remember to take a picture of the marker then next I pass by. Actually, that stretch of Hwy 41 is being converted to a 4 lane median highway and I am not sure where that will place the marker.
