As I understand it, Michael Lai is really a "nickname". There seem to be a number of Chinese names associated with him. Apart from Michael Lai Siu-tin, there is also a variation of that name i.e. Siu-Tin Lai, as well as Li Xiaotian and a birth name of Lai Tin-Ying. Since I don't read or speak Chinese, this may be partly answered by the Chinese characters beside his name in the article.
