The date of the beginning of the terms of the Speaker of the House and Minority Leader were changed from November 7, 2006 to January 10, 2007. While November 7, 2006 was Election Day, the offices of Speaker of the House and Minority Leader were not nominated by their respective caucuses until the following week and the positions filled the second Wednesday of January per the Michigan Constitution. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.56.206.27 (talk) 01:39, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot just keep reverting my original edit. There is nothing wrong with this article. Just because you don't like the fact that someone is correcting your inaccuracies, poor grammar and other mistakes. I removed a plethora of mistakes, which you keep trying to re-publish. BTW, aside from the tweet, there is no other confirmation that Rep. Gay has left the Democratic caucus. I'd not change this until or unless there is some additional information from her or the caucus. As for the chart, I'd also place Inman (independent Republican) to the right (instead of the left) in the Republican caucus for consistency with how we've done this before. --Criticalthinker (talk) 04:37, 25 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I see this happen a lot, but why are changes made immediately after an election on these pages? Members-elect do not take office until they are sworn in.
