There is no name controversy. Before the PRC, in the Qing and ROC era. The transport portfolio was part of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation. Since the PRC era, the Chinese official name has not changed but the Ministry of Communications has come to define transport, traffic, civil aviation, postal service related responsibilities for the state.--Zhongxin 13:25, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
