King Carol II Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen of Romania was burried here from 1953 until 2003. I think this is an interesting fact and worth mentioning (having a foreign monarch burried here). Two things worth expanding on in this article:

1. The damage done by the 1755 earthquake to the building, as well as the nearly century of repair required to fix it. 2. The *reason* for the transportation of St. Vincent's bones from Cabo Sao Vincent to the monastery. Afonso did this to further enshrine Christianity.
