The picture on this article is clearly not the current Montana state capitol building. I don't know if it is mislabeled or perhaps a rendering of a proposed building, but the article does not make that clear. Having been alerted to this, 5 months later, on Humanities reference desk, this is definitely not the Montana capitol, and I have removed it from the article. Maybe it's an early artist's conception, but it's not the right building. It bears a strong (though not identical) reference to the Minnesota capitol, which of course does not have mountains in the background. According to the LOC page this was a competition drawing, not the final design, so one can logically conclude that a different design won.

Yes, that issue was settled awhile back, though apparently not here. The architect combined elements of the St. Paul building and the Arkansas building, I think it was, and submitted the design.
