relation to Ibrahim Makhous?

It could be interesting to know if Monzer is related to de:Ibrahim Makhous - mentioned without sourcing in Democratic Socialist Arab Ba'ath Party as the leader of this group, which is (or was) a split from the Ba'ath Party in exile in Paris. I have no idea how common the name Makhous is for exiled Syrian politicians living in Paris. Boud (talk) 20:21, 18 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure he's his son. Ibrahim Makhous was Syria's FM before the 1966 coup. Yazan (talk) 00:05, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm reading contradictory information around, he's either Ibrahim's son, or nephew. They're a huge Alawi clan though, their village near Mashqita is called *drum rolls* Makhous. :) Yazan (talk) 03:37, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
