The phrase "A Lutescan language was reported in Greek documents to be spoken by nomads in the territory of Mysia, but essentially nothing is known of it." was removed due to lack of references. Which Greek documents describe such a thing? Fkitselis (talk) 20:55, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

On the Mysian inscription

Whether the inscription is Mysian or not is not certain. I will locate the scholars that are skeptical to the labeling "Mysian" and add them on the reference. For the moment I am including it as a note. Fkitselis (talk) 08:35, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done! Possibly, more references will be added soon. Fkitselis (talk) 21:39, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The inscription could also be in Thracian, considering that Thracian is said to have been spoken in Bithynia by us and also in Mysia in German Wikipedia. --Florian Blaschke (talk) 04:18, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Friedrich section at the bottom

I added some stuff from Friedrich's book. I don't believe he actually says that he believes the damaged word at the beginning of line 7 is a name... I read the whole section in his text. Could whoever wrote that part comment on this and tell me where he says he believes it to be a name? Otherwise, I think that speculation should be deleted. Also, I think I'm with Blažek (and the above commenter) on this about how I'm not entirely convinced this (small, damaged) inscription is anything but Phrygian (even though it would be pretty cool if it were Mysian...). We just don't have any comparanda.
