I just discovered a brand new "Nick Jr". logo on the Nickelodeon Wikia website.
I just discovered a brand new "Nick Jr." logo on the Nickelodeon Wikia website. Could you please upload that logo and place it on the Nick Jr. TV channel page right now? Thank you. AdamDeanHall (talk) 14:43, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

What will I do now?

- I would assume it's because of the software updates Wikipedia is having write now. In the message at the top of the page:

Odd Vandalism
This page has been extensively modified several times in the last two months. The modifications are grossely incorrect and appear to be some kind of joke that takes the form of a mashup between the history of Nick Jr. the childrens programming channel and The
Error Spotted in Nick Jr Article's history Section
I didn't intend on getting this message to you this way, but I couldn't find any other way of doing it (I'm new to this). In the Nick Jr article's history section, it says "There was also a host from 1999 to 2001, a strange green pickle character, whose name and traces cannot be found." The character's name is 'Phred' ( Fred with a 'Ph' instead of an ‘F’); and he was also the main character of a show that aired on the channel back when it was called Noggin, "
Ok... It has been a few weeks since I first posted this message, and no one has even deleted it yet. I am going to go ahead and make the change myself (being careful not to ruin the article of course). I can assure you thta this is no joke; it is the real thing. — Preceding
Funding? Motivation?
How is the station funded if not by traditional commercials? What is the business rationale for having the channel? As a non-commercial, non-premium channel, the unusual business model needs coverage. -- ke4roh (talk) 15:36, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
Recent changes I've made to the Nick Jr. Article
As you can see, I've made some improvements to the article; and I concluded my contribution by mentioning the rumors that spread in 2009 and the ones spreading now in 2012. If you feel this is not good for the article, feel free to let me know and/or remove that statement. Please don't delete anything else unless you feel it doesn't contribute to this article. If you feel my statement needs citation, please try to find it some before you just delete it just like that. Thank You and good evening. --

Feetface
Who is this "Feetface" character? What does he do, what is he like, and what is photo-puppetry? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.29.48.111 (talk) 21:18, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Questionable citation, and unspecified years
"On May 16, 2011, MTV Networks launched two new channels, Nick Jr. and MTVNHD, in Asia. These 24-hour channels will be available on StarHub TV in Singapore beginning May 18 and on Telekom Malaysia Berhad's Hypp.TV in Malaysia on June 1 onwards. The channel launched aggressively to the rest of Southeast Asia later.[8]"

Also, "to the rest of Southeast Asia later." should say how much later.
Does anyone have an additional reference for this paragraph?
Also, I'm new here, so I'd like if someone could point me to how to challenge a reference inline? I couldn't find it (other than

Minor cleanup needed
It appears that someone has messed up parts of the History section of the article. A minor cleanup may be needed in order to fix this problem. Paul Badillo (talk) 02:20, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
Character gallery object archival
I am wondering if anyone could help in trying to archive some data off Nick Jr cite. I did 'Save Page Now' on the Wayback Machine for http://www.nickjr.co.uk/shows/wallykazam/#! and if you visit that you can see the bottom of the live URL is a scrollable gallery of thumbnails you can click to bring up a larger image and character description of the friends in Wallykazam! but when I saved it, the archive at http://web.archive.org/web/20160208130149/http://www.nickjr.co.uk/shows/wallykazam/ I instead see the text "Oops! Sorry, something has gone wrong with this page. Please try again.[object Object]404Not Found"
I usually, even if I do not cite an archive, like to make sure one exists in case the site goes down in the future so that people could easily locate it if necessary. But it clearly would fail at present so I'm not sure how to get it to display.
Is there a way to cite the vanished objects directly? I tried right-clicking and stuff to see if I could call up a sub-page but the data seems more complexly built in than that, like maybe something java-based. I am wondering if there is a way to dig through the source code to find a link for the data directly so I can submit that to Wayback instead. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 13:07, 8 February 2016 (UTC)

Merger proposal
I propose to merge
- I don’t think that would be a good idea. Keep in mind, the Nick Jr. channel and block were pretty divergent from each other since 2009. J·B·D (talk) 12:13, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- I think they should be merged because aside from one being a block and the other a channel, they’re basically the same Dannycreatire (talk) 09:32, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose- the programming block preceded the channel by more than two decades, each is notable by itself.--Rusf10 (talk) 23:15, 19 April 2021 (UTC)]
- Oppose. The block and cable network are separate entities which, as Rusf10 pointed out, launched years apart from each other. DrPepperIsNotACola (talk) 21:30, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose- The Block is it's own thing, and the cable channel has it's own programming, marketing, and even name as of 2018. Daemonspudguy (talk) 20:08, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
Merge. Definitely the best option. They carry the same branding anyway so what is the problem? Dannycreatire (talk) 18:41, 10 June 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose If children who don't know how to tell the time can easily tell the difference between a network and a program block, people not in its target audience can handle it too. I've never felt confusion between the two, and there's two decades between the block and network creations where the separate articles should remain. chatter) 23:58, 12 June 2021 (UTC)]
- Merge. It's not like they'll care about that though. To them, Nick Jr. is Nick Jr., channel or block. Dannycreatire (talk) 10:18, 15 April 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose - The channel is separate, and the logo used on-air is different from the block (it says “Nick Jr. Channel”). But I agree with you saying the distinction is a little confusing. One suggestion - we could possibly rename this page to the on-screen name (Nick Jr. Channel) so it’s clearer which is which. Squittens (talk) 02:06, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
please make a cartoon list!
Its time to discuss this topic right now umm (clears throat) please make a cartoon list because people need to know what shows used to air on nick Jr because someone might be looking outside in Knoxville wanting to remember Muppet babies Dora the explorer & max & ruby because Nickelodeon must explain what what shows used to air on its baby version nick Jr instead of just Frowing these memory's in the weeds. 2601:843:100:D350:8800:A71A:FC86:C618 (talk) 00:22, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

- Nick Jr. → Nick Jr. Channel
- Nick Jr. (TV programming block) → Nick Jr.
– Seems to be the right move. The block has existed longer than the channel, and the channel is usually refer to as the Nick Jr. Channel, while the block is just Nick Jr. The channel being the primary Nick Jr. article can also lead to people believing Nick Jr. as a whole began in 2009. - Disambiguate turn "Nick Jr." into a disambiguation page. Move Nick Jr. (disambiguation) to "Nick Jr." -- 65.92.244.249 (talk) 05:57, 27 March 2023 (UTC)
- Support The original block is the main topic, so the move makes sense. (For example, when people say "Nick Jr shows", they are talking about the block's shows like Blue's Clues and Dora, and not the newer channel spun off from the block.) Squittens (talk) 02:37, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

- @Izno: Unless I'm confused I think the redirect should be changed back. "Nick Junior" was the original spelling of the Nick Jr block (the subject of the Nick Jr. page) while the separate channel has not used that spelling. Squittens (talk) 22:02, 16 April 2023 (UTC)

- Izno this was involved with more than 1,200 page links that originally targeted "Nick Jr.", which, as the RM in the previous section shows, was the title of the channel article. The retargeting I suggested above was only to maintain that status quo. If editor Squittens is correct, and I have no reason to think otherwise, then this redirect should be changed to:
