Is there any source on his death? There is not a single article or announcement of this.

The linked source, "Metal Addicts", isn't reliable, as their article is based solely on a single Tweet from Dave Mustaine's son. The article mentions that Nick's father Don Menza "famously played tenor sax on The Pink Panther Theme." I don't believe this is true. All information I can find is that the famous solo was played by Plas Johnson.
