Cotton tree flower

This city is named after one of the Chinese names for the flowering tree Bombax ceiba (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombax_ceiba).

The city lends its name to a cold-hardy cycad, Cycas panzhihuaensis. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Palmarum (talkcontribs) 19:13, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
i chose the more general genus Ceiba to link in the article, at least better than ceiba pentandra. Thoughts? Sources for Palmarum's info? Cycas is a very different flower, and panzhihuaensis is redlink. Or is it simply Bombax? Although Bombax ceiba seems likely; let's take this for now awaiting further comments here.
