Zeller’s entomological collecting trips to southern Europe and to the Alps should be mentioned – they’re not many, so can be dealt with briefly.

In respect to the situation of female scientists in the 19th century it would be worthwhile, I think, to mention Zeller’s role in helping Friederike Lienig (1790-1855) to get her entomological papers published – with Zeller as co-author. [see her obituary in Allgemeine deutsche naturhistorische Zeitung 1856: 71-76]
