I propose merging

Oppose but there is far too much about bridges in the architecture one - the pics especially. That should be moved over. Really the bridge piers are sufficiently distinct to deserve their own article. Compound pier could well be moved into Pier (architecture) too. In this one, the distinction (or lack of one) between columns and pilasters and piers could also be better explained. Johnbod (talk) 11:27, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
