" the earliest pope who did not become a saint.".. I noted that the earlier Pope Marcellinus is not mentioned to have been sanctified either... is this an oversight, a result of confusion of historicity, or soemthing else? -FZ 02:54, 27 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Marcellinus was sainted. savidan(talk) (e@) 15:52, 18 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do we know why the Western Church doesn't regard Liberius as a saint while the Eastern Church does?

I understand that in the early Church up until the middle ages, he was in fact regarded as a saint. His feast day was 23rd September. Some sources today still describe his as a saint ,indeed the Vatican website describes him as Pope St LIberius [1] as does Denzinger [2] As for w — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnjoseph (talkcontribs) 11:44, 20 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Picture doesn't match

The image in the infobox is not of this pope but of a later saint -- Dan Fefferman —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.244.95.4 (talk) 21:19, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Citation Needed

Would new advent be a good source to remove the tag of cn? I'm referring to this link https://www.newadvent.org/cathen/09217a.htm which was already quoted as a note in the infobox. Temp0000002 (talk) 13:54, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The article is now changed. I believe the citation tag can be removed. Temp0000002 (talk) 12:13, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
