Coaches of Warton

I've reverted this edit because as far as I can tell from their website, Coaches of Warton is a private coach company that hires out coaches, rather than public transport (which the article deals with). I'm sure there are more coach companies that can be used in the area. If this is not the case, a

reliable source will be needed to add back the information.--BelovedFreak 12:19, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply

Mains electricity

The article says "Mains electricity was brought to Poulton-le-Fylde around 1928.[1]" How can a source dated 1926 support a claim about something that happened in 1928? I have twice tried to add a tag to query this claim. The edsum for the first revert said simply "not improved" and the edsum for the second revert said "If you aren't going to read the source, stop editing the page." The snippets in the GoogleBooks view, provided by that online source, don't really explain anything. What does page 6303 actually say? Could someone explain? Thank you.

The mandate was to introduce electricity “within two years”. Book was published in 1926, so to say electricity was added in 1926 would be incorrect. I hope this helps. Seasider53 (talk) 21:27, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for explaining. I'm not sure that's an ideal source, as there is no certainly that anything at all happened by 1928? The only claim that can be made is that "in 1926 mains electricity was planned to be installed within the next two years". But I can't even see the whole of page 6303, so I can't confirm that it supports even such a claim as that. 86.170.226.86 (talk) 21:54, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lead section

The lead section currently has 10 paragraphs, 8 of which are single sentences. I think these sentences should be joined into larger paragraphs. I'm not sure, however, that the content in the lead section is a summary of the entire article. Any suggestions? 86.170.226.86 (talk) 08:36, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to make an improvement to the lead section, but I was reverted here with the edit summary "not improved". I am genuinely surprised to see a lead section like this in what is meant to be a Good Article. Although that status was last reviewed over 12 years ago. So maybe a GA Review is now in order? 86.170.226.86 (talk) 09:00, 1 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
