why different

I was reading the the third volume of the "Bangladesher Shadhinatajuddher Dolilpotro" where I saw some slightly different message than the one given in this article. So, please clarify the issues. Regards --Tarif from Bangladesh (talk) 07:16, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would appreciate if you change the text (as you found it) and cite the reference. Cheers. - Niaz(Talk • Contribs) 23:43, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions

We need to add some important details to this article:

  1. Name of the person who sent the telegram.
  2. The name of the post office from where the telegram was sent.
  3. The name of the students who received the telegram.
  4. The scanned copy the original declaration text written by Sheik Mujib or whoever took the note.
  5. The scanned copy of the received telegram.
  6. The following sentence needs credible citation(s): "Just before his arrest on the night of 25 March, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman sent a message about attacks on EPR and police barracks in Dhaka, and declared the independence of Bangladesh." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Truthseekingraptor (talkcontribs) 17:02, 7 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistencies

There are some inconsistancies in this atricle, which we need to resolve:

  1. The audio (germanRadio.mp3) linked with this article says that Sheik Mujib's message was sent via EPR radio, which is in contrast with this article.
  2. The message in Major Zia's recorded voice heard in the audio:
    1. does not match at all with what is written in this article as Zia's message.
    2. differ greatly with what most people heard in radio in 1971.
  3. It is not mentioned in the audio from where did they acquired Zia's recorded message.
  4. In this article, in the text of Ziaur Rahman's message says, "At his direction, I have taken command...". We need to explain how did Sheik Mujib came to know about Major Ziaur Rahman and directed that Major Zia to be appointed as commander?

The time stated about the Declaration of Independence of Bangladesh is wrong. Till 4.00pm I was there outside the house of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in his Dhanmondi residence. All the leaders including General Osmani, Taj Uddin were in a close door meeting. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.13.75.79 (talk) 19:22, 5 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Today Bangladesh is a sovereign and independent country. On Thursday night, West Pakistani armed forces suddenly attacked the police barracks at Razarbagh and the EPR headquarters at Pilkhana in Dhaka. Many innocent and unarmed have been killed in Dhaka city and other places of Bangladesh. Violent clashes between E.P.R. and Police on the one hand and the armed forces of Pakistan on the other, are going on. The Bengalis are fighting the enemy with great courage for an independent Bangladesh. May Allah aid us in our fight for freedom. Joy Bangla! Jiye Pakistan' Outsiderbc (talk) 12:05, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article you have at the moment has 2 words less than the original speech. The last two words have been deleted from the record but I have full proof that he said those 2 words in his 7th March 1971 speech. Here is the list of reference:

1. Bangladesher Tarikh (Page 38)- Justice Habibur Rahman Shelley 2. Zakaria Khan, Dainik Bangla Bazar Patrika, March 7, 2000 3. Daily Sangbad, March 8, 1971

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. — {{U|Technical 13}} (tec) 15:09, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Outsiderbc says, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman declared independence of Bangladesh from Pakistan by saying "Jiye Pakistan", which means "long live Pakistan". Which is completely ridiculous. None of Outsiderbc's source said so. Here is a complete report on this issue [1].--FreemesM (talk) 06:06, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
