the boxed set bit

The "It is definitely a tribute to Seiko's amazing music career" seems to me to be a bit too self-congratulatory and should be rephrased to meet encyclopaedic standards. And the boxed set release date bit needs to be revised as well - although I just randomly happened upon this page, and I don't know anything about Seiko Matsuda.Dagari 13:31, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

She did a Japanese rendition of "Eternal Flame" by The Bangles on her album Eternal. Is this worthy of mention anywhere? CrossMyHeart 10:14, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not really, seeing she's done dozens of covers of English songs, including songs by Vanessa Williams, EXPOSE, among others. Groink 06:23, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Record

Seiko used to hold the record for the most number 1 singles by a female singer (25 in all) until March 2006 when Ayumi Hamasaki's "Startin' / Born To Be..." reached number 1, making it her 26th single to top the charts. Nevertheless Seiko still holds the record of the most consecutive No.1 singles for a female artist, a record that she has been holding for two decades and not likely to be broken anytime soon (Ayumi has 16 consecutive number 1 singles as of July 2007). Is that the Japanese record, or the world record? Nik42 17:58, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From the context and the numbers, I believe that is the world record.

This article seems to be missing any reference to her doing the second opening theme to Saint Tail. Kyaa the Catlord (talk) 14:39, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
