I notice that the cause of death for Shane Tuck has yet to be released. However news reports have described his death as "tragic" and news reports have also included contact details for suicide-prevention organisations. This would indicate that he died by suicide. Assuming that this is the case, and assuming that this will eventually be made public in a reliable source, I am wondering what is a responsible way to proceed? Should this sort of detail be included on a Wikipedia article dealing with an individual? I know that Wikipedia is meant to be factual. I also know that in other cases of suicides for public figures, such as Tony Hancock and Robin Williams, not merely is the suicide mentioned in the article, but the means by which the person took their own life is included. Is this fair to the family of the person who has died this way? There is of course the argument that in being more open about this might prompt more public discussion on this important issue.
