I really don't understand the need to "trim down" an article about a rookie football player. As his career develops, (and there is more to write about), then yeah, that stuff is not real important. But I fail to see what it hurts being here now. Simply put, there is not all that much to say about Shea at this point. His career at BSU is well covered here, and as his career with the Bears develops, then we can address editing the article down. At this point, the stuff about who was interested in him is cited and factual, so I see no reason to take it out.

If you have noticed, I only removed unnecessary links, like the link to the Bears-Packers rivalry. Besides, I still kept part of it (the teams). Besides, overlinking isn't necessary.

Ok, sorry...Read the source (Scout.com isn't the best of sources either, but...) and it is a very close paraphrase of the source. Please let it sit tonite and I will rewrite it tomorrow. Cheers!
