Some of you have noticed there is a Chinese name redirecting here, and a section

Chinese people often know things just by Chinese names and for linguistic reasons they may not know the Japanese name. So a Chinese user created

, but he/she meant to start a page for this show. In fact there was already a page, so I merged the content of Qiao Hu here and made a redirect. WhisperToMe (talk) 12:33, 13 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I noticed that Shimajiro in Japan has been renamed Qiaohu in China. And also, I noticed in South Korea, Shimajiro is renamed Hobi.

Can anybody on Wikipedia explain to me the name changes and why Shimajiro has been renamed Qiaohu in China and Hobi in South Korea? I'm very confused about the name changes.
