A symbol of Christ? Removal of TS Eliot reference

I have removed the following lines from the end of the Dinnington section:

The priest visibly dying among the people to whom he ministered was a powerful symbol of

Christ, evocative of the line, 'The wounded surgeon plies the steel', in East Coker by T. S. Eliot.[1][2]

The problem is that it is not at all clear who says this. If it was Simon Bailey's description of himself (perhaps on the book he wrote about dying?), then we can consider restoring it but at the moment it sounds more like a comment of the editor. Neither the edition of Dinnington Today cited, nor the Dinnington council minutes are available on the internet at the places referenced, so they don't help us on this.
