Current Work

I removed the "current work" section, because most if not all of the information there was sourced (ver batim) from a web page that was posted at least six or seven years ago. The information on that site has ceased to be current, and several of the bands listed are defunct. Brit no longer plays in the long-defunct band Evergreen, Pajo left Tortoise eons ago, etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.137.134.156 (talk) 23:26, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New material?

I read somewhere (don't have the source) that Slint is not only back together but is planning on working on new material. Could someone confirm/deny this? —The preceding

"massive influence"? How about a footnote that support that assertion? cori(talk) 22:53, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I heard someone say that they played a song he'd never heard before that "started with a K," in the netherlands. PitchBrick 19:04, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

hmmm... did you read the article?  :-p bikeable (talk) 19:56, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Links

I deleted the link to the "official website" as it's now a defunct link. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.87.143.3 (talk) 14:33, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone here provide me assistance in referencing recent changes to Slint's publishing? Specifically, I would like to note and provide relevant links regarding transfer of copyrights on Slint's song catalog -- ie, from Neatly Folded Music Publishing (BMI) to Man With Helmet (Copyright Control). Bmcmahan (talk) 20:56, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Southern page is gone and there is no trace of it in the wayback machine due to robots exclusions. I think the right thing to do is to delete it, so I'm going to, but please feel free to correct this if this is the wrong way to handle this (since I'll remove the entire section since it will leave no links). -- OK, I take it back. I don't really know how to handle this and removing External Links removes more and I don't want to break the page. Someone should remove that link however is appropriate (and probably this comment). Post-hardcore

I've found more than a single reliable source making reference to Slint and their music as post-hardcore, as well as name-checking some songs as part of it. The following are:

I am, therefore, adding the genre and the related category (along with the sources) to this page (and to each album's page, with the required sources). --186.87.18.30 (talk) 00:41, 1 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

I propose that Slint discography be merged into Slint. I think that the content in the former can easily be explained in the context of latter, and the Slint article is of a reasonable size that merging the discographical information will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. Morganfitzp (talk) 22:15, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. With just two LPs and a single, the discography does not warrant its own article. Morganfitzp (talk) 17:29, 9 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
