With regards to the name of the town it's self, Wochinges (or another spelling is Wocca-ingas)it actually serves a pupose other th.an "just an old name for Woking". It comes from the Old English and means the settlement of Woccas people.English n proud (talk) 01:00, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I do not have a copy of the source indicated however the gallery is claerly marked as having been donated in 1622 not 1662 (Incidentally I believe the age shown of the upper part of the tower is also incorrect) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tbirduk (talk • contribs) 20:05, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
