Is it worth mentioning?

is it worth mentioning that the title sounds strangely like another game called Yoshis Story? Tnu1138 01:26, 2 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Yoda Stories.jpg

fair use
.

Please go to

Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline
is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Abandonware status

Ok, let's settle this here before it turns into a revert war. "Abandonware" means nothing, legally speaking, especially when it isn't officially declared by the copyright holder (LucasArts, in this case). U.S. copyright law still applies to this game, even though it is no longer being maintained. I DID look up the term, right here on WP, and the current page supports my argument. I don't know if there's an official policy against linking to sites that illegaly host old, copyright-encumbered software for download without compensation to the copyright holder, but I'm gonna play it self and remove the link.

So, you can call it Abandonware, if you want. Just don't post any links to illegal download sites. — EagleOne\Talk 02:28, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is the most relevant passage from the abandonware article: Those who do not own a copyright cannot merely claim the copyright abandoned and start using it without permission of the copyright holder, who would then have a legal remedy. Even though we're not hosting the game here, I still don't think that its a good idea to link to abandonware sites, for the reasons given above. — EagleOne\Talk 02:40, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Color Screen Capture

Is there a reason the screen capture for this title is a black-and-white image? Considering that the Reception section talks about dated graphics, and the article at no point mentions color except in relation to the Game Boy, I think the use of a B&W image could be very confusing. Sm5574 (talk) 04:19, 3 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's a very good point! The image actually isn't in black and white; it is just in an area where color wasn't used. But I think your point is a good one about the image perhaps not being representative, and I wouldn't be averse to it being replaced with something that illustrates the point about the gaudy graphics.
