Well this is a fine to-do, the only Boat Race GA candidate not being reviewed! Here we go then....

Background

  • "Despite, like Oxford, "their material was not very good" - this reads a little funny. Maybe "Although "their material was not very good" like Oxford" would scan better?
I've rephrased, see how it fits for you? The Rambling Man (talk) 15:55, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • " Wednesday of Holy Week which, according to Drinkwater, "caused considerable controversy"" - any particular reason why it would be controversial?
Well I guess it's as a result of the general feeling at the time that Holy Week was a solemn time (see this, for instance) and not one during which frivolous activities such as Boat Races and the associated celebrations that accompanied it. Nothing specific in the sources I have, that's why I've left it as is. The Rambling Man (talk) 15:55, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I was looking to see if I could link to a section in Religion in the United Kingdom, but nothing stands out, so we'll leave it as it. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:01, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"I didn't fancy Leslie Ash in Quadrophenia.

Not bad, an almost completely 100% "can't find anything wrong" sweep. Maybe next time ;-) On hold for the moment. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:35, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, once again, for your support in the reviews that you've done for me, let me know if there's anything more I can do in this specific case! The Rambling Man (talk) 15:55, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, that's it - I'll pass the review now. One thing I would say is, once you've finished the main race articles is to go back and do the main The Boat Race article. Come to think of it, I can probably amalgamate what's sourced in all the GAs myself and do that. Hmmm, decisions, decisions. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:01, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I fully intend to go back and address the other Boat Race articles when I'm done. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The Rambling Man (talk) 16:11, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, I'm pondering whether or not to take Quadrophenia or Cassetteboy up to GA. (Why not both?) Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 20:54, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be happy to help with either of those, Cassetteboy is one of my favourite "artists" and who could fail to fancy Leslie Ash in Quadrophenia? The Rambling Man (talk) 21:28, 27 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
