Apologies for the edit conflicts with my recent edits. I thought the article had stabilised enough for me to contribute. If I'd known a flurry of edits was coming I'd have gone elsewhere and come back later.

Can someone please explain the problem with the three interwiki links that have been removed. They provide links to articles in other languages on three of the notable paintings mentioned in this article. Some are very good - the Russian article on Moses and the Brazen Serpent is a featured article!

Some readers will be able to understand the languages enough to read the articles, or at least machine translate them, and someone might be encouraged to create articles here.

Thanks for your efforts but I removed them because they just redirect to the English Wikipedia. Do you want to try again? Not sure what the correct wikicode is. Please can you confirm what you see above in say the first bullet point. I am using the {{

ill}} template (shorthand for {{Interlanguage link}}). You should see a blue link to Nicolas Poussin then a redlink to The Plague at Ashdod because it has not yet been written in English yet. And then in brackets a link to an article on the Italian wikipedia, it:Peste di Azoth like this: (it

Ok. Thanks. Wondered if there might be some sort of problem I was not seeing. The {{

}} template is useful replacement for a redlink where there is a notable topic with an article in another language. You just have to look out for the little link in brackets.
