Lots of stuff in this pdf [1] that is interesting particularly surprising how much stuff is in the appendices.

The link (number 7) in the references - showed up slightly differently when I found it via google - but it's probable I've got an error there - something is seperating the markedly-different, tectonic regimes, but I am only assuming its a 'fault' as the word was missing from the google snippet, though I can't see it being anything else.

1910 eruption?

There wasn't an eruption in 1910 ac. to this: http://icelandicvolcanos.is/?volcano=THO --Berserkur (talk) 12:14, 6 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. The problem was the reference used was hardly a trusted source (link dead). It is not impossible that GVP put it wrong as the source is very old and lots of water has passed under that bridge. The 1910 eruption seems to have been in the most eastern Laki crater but I have not been able to find a good academic analysis. Location of eruptions was hard to determine in this area till 1970s although multiple bearings on eruption clouds was possible for some eruptions. It may well have been a dual eruption and now we know dykes from Bárðarbunga can pop up 40km away who really knows. ChaseKiwi (talk) 22:38, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
