I originally included Blackpool in the list of team that Carter played for, but this was subsequently removed. On further investigation it does seem that SoccerBase does not include Blackpool as one of his former team, although many news sources do (there is of course the risk that they are all sourcing their information from each other). I have found a local news source here which does say he played for them, but it is a little vague (not sure if he signed and never appeared). Does anybody have any information that would help here? Well then, I guess Carter must have been at Blackpool then after all, albeit for a very short time. According to my main source (Barry Hugman), Carter was never a Blackpool player, but evidently he was. I see no reason to doubt the local paper. What I do know is that Carter never played any first-team games for Blackpool. According to the article, Carter signed for Blackpool on 12 July 1995, and according to Hugman, Carter signed for Oxford in August 1995, so he couldn't have been at Blackpool for more than a month, and maybe only in pre-season. --Badmotorfinger (talk) 22:29, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
