South end

What road does it connect to in Iowa?

US 169. U.S. Routes almost always keep their number across state lines. --NE2 00:34, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

History of US route 169 thru Twin Cities

Apparently US route 169 thru the Twin Cities has followed different corridors over time. Some of this is mentioned in the artcle but I see no mention of it having followed MN 100 (in the 1970s and 80 at least?) for much of the North-South traverse of the area and at some point shifting to what had been called Hennepin County 18 which is/was also a north south route that has also been upgraded toward freeway standards (in the 1980s?). Highway 18 was about 2 miles west of Hwy 100. I have a 1989 State Farm atlas whose Minneapolis-St Paul Vicinity map clearly shows 169 co-signed with Hwy 100 and seperately "State Aid County" road 18 which by that time was mostly controlled access.
